About 4 years ago St. Nicholas church decided to respond to the community’s need for a local meeting place by seeking to provide a cafe. The church was granted planning permission for a church-based cafe and volunteers from the congregation  worked hard to refurbish the building.   

 We were both saddened and surprised to learn  that Tea and Trade did not wish to renew their lease at the church centre which was offered  on favourable terms and in line with the original planning permission.  

We wish them well in any new venture that they undertake.

As the parish church of Radstock, St Nicholas remains committed to using the cafe to providing a warm welcoming peaceful space that is accessible to the local community.

The PCC have committed to opening a new Church Tea Rooms from Sept., and detail plans have been drawn up to facilitate that.
